Our Charitable Purposes

Advancing Education

Youth Boundless advances education by:

  • providing scholarships, bursaries, and other education-related financial assistance to underprivileged youth and young adults in and from developing countries;
  • offering mentorship and academic guidance programs to youth and young adults in and from developing countries;
  • providing awards and recognition programs to encourage academic achievement and educational excellence;
  • delivering training and educational programs for human rights defenders in developing countries to strengthen their knowledge and capacity to support their communities;
  • supplying books, equipment, and other educational aids to students attending secondary and post-secondary institutions in and from developing countries;
  • providing educational classes and workshops on human rights, mental health awareness, non-violent communication, and conflict resolution for youth, young adults, and human rights defenders in developing countries; and
  • supporting vocational training and skills development through scholarships and educational programs for youth and young adults in developing countries and Canada, with a focus on trades, technology, and entrepreneurship.

Relieving Poverty

Youth Boundless relieves poverty by:

  • providing food and other basic necessities of life to individuals and families in need in developing countries;
  • providing basic necessities of life, including food, clean water, clothing, and support related to safe shelter, to individuals and families experiencing poverty or low income in developing countries;
  • supporting income-generation and poverty reduction by providing structured livelihood and small enterprise start-up support to eligible individuals experiencing poverty, where such support is paired with clear eligibility criteria, approved budgets, and follow-up;
  • delivering business and social entrepreneurship coaching, training, and resources to individuals and families experiencing poverty, to equip them with the skills and knowledge needed to establish and sustain small income-generating activities;
  • organizing and participating in international exchanges or volunteer activities that directly support Youth Boundless’ poverty-relief programs in developing countries and are carried out under structured program plans and oversight; and
  • providing financial assistance and livelihood start-up support to eligible youth and young adults experiencing poverty in developing countries to help establish small income-generating activities intended to meet basic needs.

Promoting Human Rights and wellbeing

Youth Boundless promotes human rights and wellbeing by:

  • collaborating with organizations within and outside Canada to deliver education, awareness, and capacity-building initiatives that address mental health and psychosocial challenges faced by marginalized youth and young adults;
  • promoting mental health awareness through educational workshops, peer-support programming, and referral-based supports, delivered in collaboration with qualified local partners in developing countries;
  • advancing human rights by educating youth and young adults on their rights and responsibilities, including the rights to education, health, dignity, and economic opportunity, and by supporting community-based awareness initiatives; and
  • supporting youth and young adults who have experienced human rights violations by providing information, referrals, and access to rights-based support services, in collaboration with qualified legal and human rights organizations.

Governance, Accountability and Public Education

Youth Boundless supports its charitable purposes by:

  • conducting research and producing educational reports on issues affecting youth and young adults in developing countries, including poverty, education, health, mental health awareness, and human rights;
  • engaging in non-partisan public education and awareness initiatives in Canada and abroad to inform the public about challenges facing marginalized youth and young adults in developing countries;
  • collaborating with local and international partners to implement, support, and evaluate initiatives that align with the organization’s charitable purposes; and
  • soliciting, receiving, and managing funds in a transparent and accountable manner to support activities that further the organization’s charitable purposes.

Research, Education and Knowledge Sharing


Youth Boundless supports research, learning, and evidence-informed practice by:

  • promoting awareness and understanding among youth and young adults about the value of ethical, beneficial research, including education on informed consent and participation in research studies conducted by qualified institutions;
  • collaborating with academic institutions, researchers, and public health authorities to support research awareness, knowledge sharing, and the dissemination of findings related to issues affecting youth and young adults in developing countries
  • promoting mental health awareness through educational programs, public education initiatives, and youth workshops delivered in collaboration with qualified partners
  • supporting capacity-building and professional development initiatives by facilitating access to training opportunities and educational workshops for individuals working in youth mental health and wellbeing, in collaboration with accredited institutions
  • promoting sexual and reproductive health education among youth and young adults through age-appropriate, rights-based educational programming focused on wellbeing, safety, and informed decision-making
  • collaborating with qualified local and international organizations to support education-focused sexual and reproductive health initiatives, without directly delivering clinical or medical services.
