Michael Andrew (He/Him)

Michael is a Founding Member and Director on the Board for Youth Boundless. Michael founded McBern Foundation, which is now rebranding and expanding into Youth Boundless, a based organization in Ontario. He is a seasoned social entrepreneur who has spent years building practical pathways for marginalized youth and elderly communities in Uganda to access dignity, opportunity, and support.

In 2013, Michael launched McBern Tours & Travel, an inclusive tour company offering safari experiences across Uganda and the wider East African region. He built the company with a clear dual purpose: excellence in service and impact that reaches people often left behind. A meaningful portion of the business’s efforts and resources has consistently been channelled into the McBern Foundation, supporting marginalized elderly individuals and resilient youth, including those facing family rejection due to their sexual orientation or gender identity, through education support, skills empowerment, and healthcare assistance.

Michael’s work is rooted in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, as a commitment embedded across business, community programming, and partnerships. Through Youth Boundless, he brings the credibility of lived, on-the-ground leadership and the ambition to scale solutions that help young people thrive, while inviting supporters, partners, and allies to join something bold, compassionate, and globally relevant to give the marginalized a second chance at life.
